Project Briefs

The policy briefs translate evidence generated through the project’s modelling, pathway development, empirical and social research, and stakeholder engagement into concise policy-oriented outputs addressing different dimensions of the transition towards a circular, low-carbon economy.

The five briefs address complementary and deliberately cross-cutting policy questions:

• Circular economy modelling for EU decision-making examines how circular strategies can be better represented in models informing EU policy;
• Pathways to climate neutrality assesses which circular strategies can make the greatest contribution to greenhouse gas mitigation;
• Circular consumption identifies the conditions enabling or constraining demand-side circular practices across housing, mobility and digitalisation;
• Circular without rebounds examines how to mitigate rebound effects in corporate circular practices looking both at behavioural and market responses;
• Urban planning and data-driven approaches enable low-carbon cities analyses how urban form and spatial planning influence emissions and resource demand
