Circular ReBoundary

A New Online Resource for Circular Economy Professionals

The Circular ReBoundary is an innovative online resource designed to support professionals and organizations engaged in the transition toward a circular economy.

This resource offers an insightful learning journey for anyone interested in circular practices, whether new to the field or already experienced. While it focuses on the buildings, mobility, and manufacturing sectors, its findings and tools are relevant to a wide range of industries. Through best practices and references to existing repositories, Circular ReBoundary helps users easily navigate high-quality materials and real-world examples. For example, a collection of insights from industry stakeholders – collected during a dedicated workshop – highlight practical experiences, challenges, and lessons learned in applying circular solutions. Moreover, this online tool offers access to survey results from five European countries (the UK, Lithuania, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands), exploring how consumers and employees engage with circular behaviors such as car sharing, repair and reuse, second-hand purchasing, and shared living spaces.

Importantly, Circular ReBoundary addresses an often-overlooked topic: the rebound effects that can limit or even reverse the benefits of circular initiatives. Its dedicated sections aiming to “Set Boundaries to Rebound Effects,” provides practical guidance to help professionals recognize, anticipate, and minimise these effects, ensuring that circular economy actions deliver their full environmental and social potential.

The tool has been developed by CMCC within the CircEUlar project.
